The Dingalls Lunch Hour 76: It's raining outside, but all I see are sunny skies.

I've been in a surprisingly mild mood lately.  There's one big reason for that, but I'm not apt to divulge...

Anyway, things are winding to a close.  Five weeks to go, one of which is finals.  I'm buried under a considerably larger than normal stack of homework at the moment, but I'll hopefully get quite a bit of it tied up this evening.  I've had a renewed sense of determination lately...  I also am through with my history test (which was earlier today).  I'm confident that I did well - I studied all weekend for it.  Only a few more chapters of crap to read for that class...

After playing around with different computer configurations on NewEgg over the last couple of weeks, I have discovered that they now carry the camera which I originally wanted to purchase.  I'll get to that tonight as well.

I think I'll end up with SOME job this summer.  Shane said he put it a good word for me at his former position, which would be GREAT.  Mom's boyfriend is also working on getting me a referral for Cook - it wouldn't pay a whole lot, but it'd be more than nothing.

Time keeps going faster...

The Dingalls Lunch Hour 75: Someone, please hit me with a bus...

I'm getting worse about remembering to write in this thing...

So I'm maxed out on the stress scale.  Math and history tests coming up, 301 homework to do with an exam looming not far off, and lab tomorrow which I still haven't prepared for...  Then I start forfeitting gym time for homework/studies, and feel bad for not going.  On the bring side of things, only four and a half weeks of classes to go...

I'm also fighting myself financially.  I have enough cash to buy myself some new computer stuff, but I should really save the money.  I'm also jobless for the summer as things currently stand...

Bah.  There's usually light at the end of the tunnel...

The Dingalls Lunch Hour 74: Downhill from Here

Spring break has concluded, and classes are in session for the final weeks of the semester.  I actually forgot to write this earlier, so I'm in a mad rush to get it in before 301...

Spring break was mostly uneventful...  Went to a Bible quiz the first weekend in Illiois - we chanced to stop across from the exact Starbucks that I so fatefully backed into over the summer in Effingham, and everyone had the opportunity to make a mockery of me.  Didn't do hardly anything through the week...  The second weekend was Breaking Away, which was fun, but somewhat depressing for reasons I shant discuss here.

Brock had a close call sometime within the last few weeks...  He was leading an Humvee column, driving the lead vehicle, when an insurgent popped out from behind a building and shot at him with an RPG.  The grenade shot into the headlight, bounced off the engine, shot back out the grill, and landed on the ground in front of Brock, but it did not explode.  Let's just say I shall continue to pray my eyeballs out for him and his buddies.

I've lost my American Eagle jacket.  It's not up here with me, it's not at Dad's, and Kory doesn't have it.  There's a chance I left it at Lauren's, but I don't think I've ever worn it over there...

They finally found Wade Steffey.  He apparently wondered into an electrical closet in the bottom floor of Owen and electrocuted himself.  The body has been down there for the last three months - someone is in trouble...

That's good for now - TTFN...

The Dingalls Lunch Hour 73: ZZZzzz... ZZZzzz...

Ah yes, sleep deprivation - I remember it well.  I got in a whopping five hours last night - not terrible, but far from my usual at-least-seven.  Amazingly, I managed to stay awake for history (not paying any attention, mind you).  Unfortunately, I then zonked off in math...

Speaking of the most wretched of subjects - I chanced to see my professor attempting to cross Northwestern at Grant while I was on the bus this morning.  Just as he got in the middle of the street, the lights changed, and the cars started coming.  The first thing that popped into my head was, and I kid you not, "I hope he gets hit."  (Un?)Fortunately, he backpeddled, and wasn't hopelessly mangled by oncoming traffic.  Keep in mind that I had awoken from my brief and far from peaceful slumber only a half hour earlier, so my primal/carnal thoughts took precedence...  Yeah, that sounds good...

The conclusion of this week will see the beginning of spring break.  Nothing special planned - just going home.  Greenville quiz is this Saturday, which I'm quizmastering at, and Breaking Away is the following Saturday, which I'm also attending.  The weekends will be fun, the week will be pretty droll.

My beloved Villa Pizza will also be closed for the semester after this week.  Which makes me wonder why I chose Pappy's for lunch today...

The Dingalls Lunch Hour 72: Finances

As of yesterday, I'm out of the hole financially for the school year.  I'm still about a grand under for the summer, but I'll hopefully have a job to assist with that...  Hopefully...

Supreme Commander FINALLY got here yesterday, after bouncing around Missouri for about a week.  Read the manual last night, but haven't gotten to installing it quite yet.  My dreams of building another computer are resurfacing - still working on buying that digital camera...

A week and a day until spring break...
